Since joining The British Veterinary Centre in Abu Dhabi in 2017, he has become a key figure, excelling in diagnostic imaging, emergency medicine, and surgery. Known for his precision and passion for learning, Dr. Belal ensures every patient receives exceptional care.
He enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine with a special interest in diagnostic imaging, emergency medicine, and surgery.

Dr. José was born in Portugal and studied veterinary medicine at the University of Lisbon, completing additional training in Spain, Colombia, and England. He holds a master’s in veterinary science, with a dissertation in veterinary cardiology that earned him the 2013 SPCAV-Vetmedin award. Having worked in high-standard practices across Portugal and internationally, he continuously expands his expertise in internal medicine, with a strong focus on cardiology and diagnostic imaging. At BVC, he pioneered the first interventional cardiology center in the Middle East, offering minimally invasive cardiac surgeries, including mitral valve repair under cardiopulmonary bypass.
Dr José was born in Portugal and studied veterinary medicine at the University of Lisbon.

Dr. Ahmad Jakish earned his doctorate in veterinary medicine in Washington State in 2008. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and received his certification in canine rehabilitation from the University of Tennessee in 2009. Before joining the BVC in 2011, he worked at the Animal Surgical Clinic of Seattle. He specialises in orthopedic and spinal surgeries, as well as complex thoracic, oncology, and soft tissue surgeries.
